End-of-Life Practitioner Program

Continuing Education Credits

Program Participants

After completing the certificate program participants join the Graduate Community.

The Metta Institute® End-of-Life Practitioner Program, full series, offers 72 hours of continuing education. The Metta Institute programs, Mindful and Compassionate Service, Wise Relationship, Creative Collaboration, and Opening to Mystery each meet the qualification for 18 hrs of continuing education. The following disciplines are included, Nurses (CEU), MFT's and LCSW's (CE), Chaplains (CCE), and psychologists (CPE CE). Additional Fees apply.

The Metta Institute® End-of-Life Practitioner Program, full series, is approved for 72 hours of continuing education. The Metta Institute programs, Mindful and Compassionate Service, Wise Relationship, Creative Collaboration, and Opening to Mystery is approved for 18 hrs of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP #14909.

The Metta Institute programs, Mindful and Compassionate Service, Wise Relationship, Creative Collaboration, and Opening to Mystery each meet the qualification for 18 continuing education credits for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences PCE# 4160. After July 30, 2015 the California Board of Behavior Sciences will discontinue approval of continuing education. Check with your professional board for qualified continuing education providers.

CE hours are available for psychologists through the co-sponsorship of the Spiritual Competency Resource Center for a fee of $25.00. SCRC is approved by the APA (American Psychological Association) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Resource Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The Metta Institute programs, Mindful and Compassionate Service, Wise Relationship, Creative Collaboration, and Opening to Mystery each provide 18 hours of continuing education that can be applied to the educational hours required by the Association of Professional Chaplains APC# 08-0014.

The Association for Death Education and Counseling® ADEC has deemed this program as counting toward the continuing education requirements for the ADEC Certification in Thanatology (CT) and the Fellow in Thanatology (FT) program. http://www.adec.org/

Metta Institute charges a $25.00 processing fee for all Continuing Education Certificates at the time of registration.

Note: Portions of curriculums are in development. If we are able to offer additional credits this will be announced at the specific training sessions. Currently there are no continuing education credits offered for the Cultivating Presence & Resilience Training session.
